We recently completed a turnkey installation for a homeowner looking for reliable backup power and the ability to charge her new electric vehicle (EV) without upgrading her main electrical service — saving time and money.

✅ 22 kW Generac Natural Gas Backup Generator Installation

We installed a Generac 22 kW natural gas generator to provide whole-home backup power. This gives the homeowner peace of mind during outages, especially with increasing grid instability and wildfire-related shutoffs. We also installed a 200-amp automatic transfer switch (ATS) for seamless, worry-free switching between utility and generator power. A new 1-1/4” gas line was run to ensure proper fuel delivery and long-term reliability.

✅ ChargePoint EV Charger + Load Management System

While on-site, the customer took delivery of a new electric vehicle and asked us to install a ChargePoint Home Flex EV charger in her garage. However, the home's 125-amp main service panel didn’t have enough capacity for the charger.

Instead of a costly and invasive 200-amp service upgrade, we installed a DCC-12 smart load management system between the main panel and the charger. The DCC-12 automatically monitors the home’s electrical load and allows the charger to operate only when capacity is available — making it a code-compliant and cost-effective EV solution.
